The present research aims to alternatives to the chemical fight against nematodes and the valorisation of weed plants by studying the in vitro nematicidal potential of two types of aqueous extracts(aqueous extract of the aerial part and aqueous extract of the root part) of wild mustard sinapis arvensis with respect to the larvae (L2) of Meloidogyne sp.
According to the results obtained, the two aqueous extracts tested caused significant mortality in second-instar nematode larvae.In addition, the aqueous extract of the root part of the mustard at a dilution of 25% proves effective in the first 24 hours of immersion, while the aqueous extract of the aerial part is effective after 72 hours. It should that the corrected mortality rates are lower in the aerial part ( 51.66% after 72 hours) compared to the root part (76.75% after 24 hours). Larval mortality depends on the exposure period, concentration, and type of extract. The toxicity of mustard extracts is almost is almost equivalent to that of the chemical tested (Vydate). |
