This final-year project focuses on the reproduction of Oreochromis niloticus (Nile tilapia) in intensive aquaculture, conducted at the ONDPA fish farm in Douaouda Mazafran. The main objective is to analyze the impact of environmental factors particularly water temperature, quality, and feeding on fry production.
Results showed that the spring season, with more stable thermal conditions, enhances reproductive performance compared to winter. The survival and hatching rates of fry are strongly influenced by proper management of rearing conditions, such as oxygenation, feeding practices, and water hygiene.
The study highlights the crucial role of environmental control in improving tilapia reproduction and promoting a more sustainable and productive aquaculture system.
