Greenhouse tomato cultivation has significantly expanded in Algeria in recent years to ensure high yields and off-season production. The integration of drip irrigation combined with fertigation allows for better management of water and nutrients. However, the performance of such systems depends on several technical factors, particularly network configuration and distribution uniformity. This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of irrigation and fertigation in three greenhouses located at different distances from the pumping station, in the commune of Koléa (Tipaza province). The methodological approach includes field measurements (flow rate, irrigation uniformity), chemical analysis of nutrient solutions (nitrate, nitrite, ammonium) using spectrophotometry, and simulations via AquaCrop and FertiCalc. The results show excellent water distribution uniformity within greenhouses (CU > 0.9), but disparities between them due to the layout and distance from the pump. Nitrogen concentrations also varied from one greenhouse to another. Yields ranged from 50 to 70 tons per hectare. The study highlights the importance of proper system design and rigorous monitoring to improve water and nutrient efficiency, especially in a context of increasing water scarcity. |
